How it plays
A gem puzzle on a turning board: every third placement, the outer ring turns one step.
Sixfold is a puzzle on a 37-cell board of gems with one rule of its own: after every third placement, the whole outer ring of the board turns one step clockwise, carrying its gems past the ones inside. A countdown above the board says when. A merge the turn sets off is a ring catch and scores triple, so you place for where your gems will be, not where they are. Three or more connected gems of one cut join into the next gem up, bigger groups climb further, and one join can set off the next. Every gem has its own cut and colour, with its value shown by default. Prefer cuts alone? Change Tile numbers in Me. The ladder has no ceiling: reach a new highest gem and anything more than five tiers below it retires from the board. All four powers are earned in play, and none is ever for sale.
- The outer ring turns one step every third placement
- Ring catches score triple; Counter-turns are earned from them
- Read each gem’s value at a glance; old tiers retire as you climb
- Surge, Counter-turn, Pluck and Rewind, all earned in play

The loop
Every run follows one honest loop.
- 01Check the ring countdown
- 02Place for where the gems will be
- 03Let the turn catch a merge
- 04Bank a power
- 05Climb past the old tiers.
What is inside
Inside Sixfold.
The ring turns
After every third placement the 18 cells of the outer ring advance one step clockwise, and anything the turn completes resolves. The countdown above the board and the gold arrows round the rim tell you when and which way.
Ring catches score triple
A merge the turn sets off, and the cascade it starts, is a ring catch worth three times the points. Line up a gem one step before its match on the rim, and let the ring finish the move.
Clear values. Brilliant gems.
Each tier is drawn as its own gem cut and colour, from the round brilliant up through six cuts that repeat up the ladder. Only six tiers are ever on the board at once, so every gem in play is distinct. Values are shown by default; switch Tile numbers off in Me if you prefer cuts alone.
Four powers, all earned
Surge, charged by cascades, lifts every lowest gem one tier. Counter-turn, earned by ring catches, turns the ring one step back. Pluck, earned by new high gems, swaps a board gem into your hand. Rewind, earned by retiring tiers, undoes your last placement. None is ever sold.
A fair Daily
One shared board a day, one ranked attempt, replayed and validated on our server before it counts, with a weekly league built on those results. From October 11 UTC the ranked Daily uses the turning ring too, starting with no powers and earning them in play.
Why it exists
Built for a reason.
Most place-and-join puzzles are a still board you fill. Sixfold's board moves on its own schedule, so every placement is a plan for two positions: where a gem lands, and where the ring will carry it.
Made for puzzle players who like spatial planning and satisfying chains, and want a daily ranking nobody can buy their way up.
