Sumward is a card game built out of arithmetic. Pick up number cards, play hands that form a pattern — a pair, a run, a set that adds to ten, a run of primes — and each pattern multiplies your score. Collect relics between rounds that bend the rules in your favour, and keep stacking them until the maths stops making sense. Eight rounds to beat, then it keeps going.

Clear rules, real identity, and a reason to improve.

Patterns are points

Play hands that form pairs, runs, sum-to-ten, or prime sets. Each pattern scores chips times a multiplier — find the overlap and the numbers explode.

Stack relics until it breaks

Clear a round to reach The Exchange: twenty-two relics, number packs, foil/holo/gild enhancements, and a deck shredder. Build a deck that snowballs out of control.

Bosses that change the rules

Static Field at round 4 takes your discards; The Auditor at round 8 scores junk hands at zero. A boss lands every round from the third on, and your deck has to answer the question each one asks.

Then go infinite

Beat eight escalating rounds and the run keeps going. The only ceiling is how hard you can make the math break.

Why we built it

Card games that let you build your own engine are hard to put down, and arithmetic is a language everybody already speaks — no new vocabulary to learn before the first good hand.

Who it is for

Anyone who likes card games where the pieces combine, enjoys a number puzzle, and wants a run that ends in a satisfyingly ridiculous score.

How a run works

Draft → play patterns → score chips × mult → shop the Exchange → stack relics → break round 8 → go infinite.
